classificaton and culture

 the article is trying to solidify what are genres and how they are created and how they relate to culture.  for example it beings to try and break down main genres  into sub genres
 like hip hip turns into r and b over a period time. or like how you have country music but then soon after came along blue grass because the culture became more modern and the style of music


its important because music has changed over time and some artist may classify their music and on hing and then other may see it as a genres
